About a week ago, I accidentally knocked over my body-length mirror, which has never been secured to a door or wall since we moved here. (Surprised it didn’t happen sooner.) Needless to say, it is no longer my mirror. (Larry, I need you to take it to your dumpster, please!) I can be a superstitious person, but jeez…... My computer’s hard drive finally died on me…it’s been going for about a year now and it finally wouldn’t reboot at all. Luckily, Robert was able to take care of it for me….all for a batch of chocolate chunk cookies. Thanks, Robert! Therefore, I meet Angie in Medford so she can take my computer and we decide to take a walk in the park. I realized right away that my stroller wanted to go to the left, but really didn’t think much of it; half way through the walk, I take a closer look and see that a nut fell off of a bolt and it was pretty loose…barely hanging on. Angie and I probably looked comical trying to take Velcro to wrap it around some other part to try and hold it together; at least it held up. After the walk, we decided to go eat at Subway. This part is kind of funny…..I told Angie I’d meet her there. So I go by the County Market Plaza there and get Carlee out of the car and wait….and wait….and wait….no Angie. I look up and realize Subway isn’t even there anymore!! Oh man, I felt so stupid! I recall Jay saying they moved to the south side of town, but I completely forgot. Well, anyway, we are just finishing up eating at Subway, and Hanna is pointing to my ring. I bring my hand closer to her so she can look and realize my diamond to my wedding ring had fallen out sometime that day. What luck! Later that week Carter gave me a scrap piece of plastic water line, which he found from Daddy’s plumbing project in the basement, and it’s shaped like a ring. Oddly enough, it fits perfect! It’s blue, but it was ever so thoughtful of him. I even wore it to the grocery store today. J I had some trouble getting a few glitches worked out on the computer when I got it back, mostly from certain drivers not being installed, but overall it’s much better besides the annoyance of having to reinstall all my programs and applications that I’ve added to this computer. Luckily, for about a year now (since I found out my hard drive was failing), I’ve backed up all my files onto my external drive…thanks Neal Rusy for recommending that! The only part I’ve had no luck with is using my wireless router for my internet connection. I don’t understand it enough, so I fixed the problem by moving my computer desk to the other side of the room, and now I’m hooked up directly with my Ethernet cable. Not a fix, but it certainly was getting on my nerves and I just wanted to get back to ‘normal’, if there is such a thing.
Onto brighter news, my Carlee turns two years old on Friday!! She’ll be on Channel 9’s Birthdays on Friday morning (I think birthdays are usually on anywhere from 6:45 – 6:55 am). Saturday, we have her party (as well as Hanna & Emma’s 3rd birthday party) so I’m looking forward to seeing family and friends. A little bummed that my dad won’t be able to make it….he’ll be stuck out on the road somewhere in Florida. He won’t be able to get all of his drops off in time so he’ll be staying the weekend in sunny Florida.
So glad that this HOT HOT weather will be ending. I like the summer, but I can’t handle this kind of heat. 77 would be perfect for me!
Carlee at her best
The new play area.
Someone is a little too big for this pool now.
Jay and Carter hanging out on the hammock.
Sam walked into the yard last night with this. Can't get this kind at Fleet Farm!
Carlee playing near the pool.
Carter made his own water slide. He put the hose at the top of his slide and slid down. Pretty creative!
Carlee and Carter with Izzy, our new cat. Hope this one sticks around...it's been a good mouser so far.
My cutie pie!

Sounds like you have had a rough couple of days! Hope luck is on your side now! I can't believe how big your kids are getting! They are very cute!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Danielle! I hope all the "bad stuff" is outta the way too!
