Sayings ~ By Carter

  • 10/3/12 While Reading Dr. Suess' "Wacky Wednesday", we had to find things that were, well, wacky..... There was a picture hanging on the wall that was titled, "George Washington", but it actually looked like a picture of Abraham Lincoln.  I asked Carter, "Do you know what George Washington looks like?".  His response, "Yeah, he's the one with the really curly hair."  So funny what they pick up....

  • 3/24/12  While watching "HOP" tonight, and during the scene where Carlos the chick tries to take over, Carter says so seriously, "If I were in that movie, I'd poke his eye ball out!" So hilarious!!
  • 3/3/12:  Carlee (age 2) says, "I want a tractor."  Carter (age 5) replies: "When I'm 8, I'll give Carlee a tractor because I'll have a lot of money; I just know it!"
  • 9/30/11  While getting the pumpkins out of the patch, I told Jay not to worry about running one of them over with the tractor because I left it there on purpose (it had rotted).  Jay takes the tractor and yells out, "Time to make a pumpkin pie!"  ....and he smashes the pumpkin.  Carter looks at me and asks, "Is that how you really make a pumpkin pie?"   hee hee hee  :-)
  • 8/23/11  While sitting in the truck with his dad:  Jay looks over at Carter and says, "I can't believe you're 5 years old.  Where has the time gone?"  Carter:  "What time, Dad?"  (I guess he just kept asking because he couldn't quite grasp where the time had really gone.)  :-)
  • 8/13/11  While putting Carter to sleep tonight, I told him he has to be extra-special good tomorrow because it's my birthday.  He asks, "How old are you gonna be, Mom?"  When I replied, "34", he said, "Oh, I thought you were only twelve."   Oh, how I sometimes wish!!
  • 6/6/11  Having enough of Carlee's attitude one day, I quietly said under my breath "Carlee, you can go fly a kite."  Carter, sitting in the back seat of the truck also, says "But Mom, it's not windy enough out to fly a kite." I guess it wasn't quiet enough... :-/
  • 4/25/11  Jay asked Carter if he were to pick one friend to come over for a day, who would it be.  Carter comes back and says, "Tyler or Aidan".  Jay: "No, you can only pick one."  Carter: "Sawyer".   I guess he can change his mind as fast as a woman.
  • 4/15/11  After cleaning up the the loose plaster the kids were playing with on the wall in the "someday" laundry room, I told Carter I was going to have to put up a barricade to keep them from going in there.  Carter's reply:  "Why?  Otherwise we'll have a bear in here?"  (BEAR-A-CADE....I guess I can see where he came up with that one)  lol
  • 3/9/11  After falling off his scooter, Carter was sitting on the floor with his ankle a little scuffed up.  "I'm gonna be crying here forever", is what he stated.  I couldn't help but laugh.
  • 3/1/11  While watching "Giggle Giggle Quack" at the Grand Theater, one of the characters burped after eating pizza.  Carter laughing, looks over to me and says, "He didn't even say 'excuse me.'"
  • 2/22/11  Because Carter's pants ended up a little wet after coming back from a short snowmobile ride out to the field to drop Daddy off by his tractor, Carter says "I just don't like winter anymore!"
  • 2/13/11  Mom: "Carter, who is our president?"  Carter:  "Marack Bobama".   ~so sweet
  • 1/20/11  After I hid and scared Carlee by saying "Boo", Carter wanted me to do it to him also.  I said, "I'll do it when you're least expecting it."  With an innocent grin on his face, he says, "I'm least expecting it right now."
  • 1/15/11  While wrestling with Daddy: "I'll pull your butt crack off!"

Carter ready for the Superbowl!
